Born in Barcelona, Sara started her semi-professional career in La Companyia Juvenil de Ballet Clásico de Catalunya. Sara furthered her studies in the ballet department at Institut del Teatre, in the heart of the city.
Afterwards, she continued her training at the University of Holland, Codarts Rotterdam, going directly into the third year of study due to her talent and previous training in dance.
Sara concluded her formal education on a scholarship at the Alvin Ailey School in New York were she studied numerous different styles of dance.
She has worked with different European, American and Asian choreographers, dancing in pieces by world-renowned choreographers such as Jiří Kylián, Regina van Berkel, Nacho Duato, Ohad Naharin, and Robert Battle as well as in new creations.
Sara has also dedicated the past few years of her career training dancers from all over the world, in Spain, Mexico, New York, Italy and Bucharest, to name a few.
As a member of Martz Contemporary Dance Company, with residence at the IAB, Sara has traveled to Malaysia, working with Dua Space Theatre; Mexico, in the International Contemporary Dance Festival in Mexico City; Italy, at World Dance Movement; Romania, performing at National Library of Bucharest and at the Cervantes Institute, and nationally, performing in various different venues such as Teatro Echegaray, Teatro Prado de Sitges, Teatro Auditorio de Puertollano, among other. As well as performing Sara has also taught the company’s unique style and repertoire.
Sara continues to be a member of Martz Contemporary Dance Company (Barcelona) and collaborates with Julia Ehrstrand Dancers (Sweden/NewYork), among other companies.
